Aorta Design and Aorta Tattoo are the working alter egos of Satoshi Asmidin Visser.

Aorta Design (since 1999)
With roots in: ‘music, art and design’ and schooling in: ‘audiovisual design, communication & multimedia design and experience branding’ he started to develop a great interest and passion for creating visual work in any form.

Combining all that he has eagerly learned along the way, he now is capable of creating ideas and work that may vary from experimental to commercial, with a wide variety of approaches and styles.

Aorta Tattoo (since 2008)
Always interested in tattoos every since he was a little boy and seeing his father’s tattooed arm realising that the drawing on that arm was permanent. As the years go by his own tattoo addiction started to grow and in 2007 he took the big plunge himself by getting his first tattoo.

In the very same year he was offered an apprenticeship at the same studio he got tattooed: ‘Shipwreck Tattoo (Pete Schröder)’. With a short and powerful introduction to the world of tattooing Shipwreck Tattoo sank to the bottom of the ocean.
But the story does not end here! In the beginning of the summer 2008, Asmidin is given a new chance to tattoo and feed his ink addiction at: ‘Red Rose Tattoo (Gino Dobbelstein)’.

Future
Over the past few years’ music, art, design, illustration and tattooing have become more and more a part of Asmidin and so a part of Aorta Design / Aorta Tattoo. With his views constantly broadening and constantly wanting to learn more and more. He keeps growing, developing and enjoying everything that comes across his path, whether it is work, knowledge or just plain having a good time.
